Power inverters typically take a DC power source, and convert this to a 240VAC source, capable of running portable appliances from battery power remotely.  The Multiplus units are combined inverter / chargers, in which when 240VAC power is supplied, these back charge the battery systems, whilst also synchronising with the inverter to apply boost power to systems.
